Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) training is to a certain extent an extended version of the accredited Provide Responsible Service of Gambling course. This workshop covers your obligations under the Gaming Machine Act 1991, Gaming Machine Regulation 2002 as well as the Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice. There is a special focus on dealing with problems that may arise in a gaming environment.
Gaming Nominee Training (GNT) is a compliance course for managers or senior staff who are responsible for a venue’s gaming machines. The Office of Liquor and Gaming Regulation (OLGR) requires every gaming venue in Queensland to have a member of staff holding a Gaming Nominee licence. This licence can only be granted to a person who is appointed to the position by an employer. This training course covers the legal responsibilities and best practice management techniques in accordance with Queensland legislation. GNT is only pertinent to Queensland and is not nationally recognised training..

CLO training is an industry short course that assists venues and gaming staff to meet their legislative requirements, venue responsibilities and appropriate procedures to follow if a patron wishes to exclude themselves. CLO training is pertinent to Queensland only and is not nationally recognised training. This course is delivered either in house at a venue (for a group - contact QHA for more information) or by video conferencing as a public training course.
