Customer Liaison Officer (CLO) training is to a certain extent an extended version of the accredited Responsible Service of Gambling course. This workshop covers your obligations under the Gaming Machine Act 1991, Gaming Machine Regulation 2002 as well as the Queensland Responsible Gambling Code of Practice. There is a special focus on dealing with problems that may arise in a gaming environment.
CLO training is an industry short course that assists venues and gaming staff to meet their legislative requirements, venue responsibilities and appropriate procedures to follow if a patron wishes to exclude themselves. CLO training is pertinent to Queensland only and is not nationally recognised training. This course is delivered either in house at a venue (for a group, contact QHA for more information) or by video conferencing as a public training course.
CLO VIDEO CONNECT
The CLO course is delivered by video conference. Participants log in to the QHA virtual classroom via a PC, laptop, tablet or other device. A reliable internet connection and a webcam is required as is the capacity (microphone) to allow active participation in this live training environment, as it would for an attendance course. We use the Zoom application and send you a link prior to the course starting.
